General Purpose

To administer medications under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with applicable laws, and to perform direct care duties under supervision. Assist in maintaining a positive physical, social, and psychological environment for residents.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing, meeting all federal and state certification requirements, or in training to become one.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Completion of Medication Administration Assistant course and ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions.
• Must speak and understand English.
• Positive attitude toward the elderly.
• Understanding of med pass standards and ability to demonstrate competence within these standards.
