Job summary

S&ME is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Laboratory Supervisor to lead our Nashville and Huntsville lab operations. You will manage staff, coordinate projects, and ensure quality and safety across testing activities.

The role blends leadership with client-facing responsibilities and QA/quality assurance in a dynamic geotechnical environment. Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in geotechnical testing with supervisory experience, a civil/geotechnical engineering background, and relevant

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of combined experience in geotechnical and construction materials testing with supervisory/leadership experience.
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering (or related technical field) is preferred.
Active industry certifications such as ACI, ICC, NICET are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Supervise lab personnel, oversee daily activities, ensure quality and safety in lab operations.
Manage Construction Materials Testing projects including proposal development, budgeting, scheduling, and report delivery.
Coordinate staff scheduling and collaborate with Field Supervisors and Project Managers on project progress.
Train employees on lab processes and maintain necessary certifications.
