Job summary

Braun Intertec is seeking an entry-level Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician to join our Rochester, MN team. The role involves testing soils, concrete, masonry, and asphalt on various projects, with in-depth training and certifications provided upon successful completion.

Ideal candidates will be able to lift 50–75+ pounds, work outdoors in varying weather, and communicate effectively with project teams.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record for last 3 years.
• Ability to lift 50-75+ pounds.
• Strong safety focus and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and apply technical concepts.
• Flexibility to work extended or nontraditional hours as needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Related work experience in materials testing or construction is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform field density tests of soils.
• Perform field concrete testing, including slump, air content, and strength.
• Prepare daily reports.
• Work with project managers and senior technicians to ensure specifications are followed.
• Perform routine samples and testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, and asphalt and assist with more complex tasks.
