Job summary

Copper Ridge Nursing & Assisted Living Center is seeking a Certified Medication Technician to provide medication administration to residents and to deliver the upmost care under the discretion of the delegating nurse.

The role requires current state CMT certification, CPR/First Aid, and a track record of reliable teamwork in a healthcare setting. This is a full-time, on-site position with benefits including health coverage and PTO.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer medications to residents as prescribed by their physician.

• Report adverse reactions or changes in residents’ condition to the supervising nurse.

CERTIFIED MEDICATION TECHNICIAN

CERTIFIED MEDICATION TECHNICIAN

Copper Ridge Nursing & Assisted Living Center is looking for Certified Medication Technicians to provide medication administration to our residents and to provide the upmost care. The CMT will ensure all medications are being stored, labeled, and administered properly with the highest level of safety and quality. A CMT works under the discretion of the delegating nurse.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and administer medications to residents as prescribed by their physician
• Monitor residents’ medication intake and document all medication administration activities
• Maintain accurate records of all medications, including ordering, storing, and disposing of medications as necessary
• Ensure proper storage of medications and label all medications properly
• Report any adverse reactions to medications and changes in a resident’s condition to the proper supervisor
• Participate in ongoing training to remain current on all regulations
• Ensure medications are in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Ability to obtain vitals on residents
• Provide the upmost care to each resident through assisting with ADL care

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have current state certification as a CMT
• CPR/First Aid certified
• At least 1-2 years’ experience in a healthcare setting preferred
• Ability to work in a team setting and independently
• Proficiency in computer systemsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Organization and time management skills
