Job summary

Shawmut Design and Construction seeks recent graduates for its Construction Management Skills Training (CMST) program. This 36-month rotation covers Project Management, Site Supervision, and Estimating, providing hands-on exposure to the full lifecycle of a project.

Graduates graduate to Assistant Project Manager, Assistant Superintendent, or Assistant Estimator roles, supported by Shawmut's employee-owned culture and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience required.
• Co-op or internship experience in construction strongly preferred.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Project Management: Ensure tools are in place, maintain documents and materials, assist with financial management, coordinate punch lists.
• Site Supervision: Determine constructability, secure licenses, confirm materials/methods, track subcontractor changes, keep plans current.
• Estimating: Prepare documentation before estimating, gather information for quality estimates, develop quantity take-offs, assist in proposals.
