Summary:

  • Advanced knowledge of search strategy and advisory processes
  • Rich knowledge of search technologies/products and search concepts like indexing, crawling processes, search security considerations, and localization.
  • Skilled in fitment of search requirement categories (informational, navigational, and transactional) in business context.
  • Quickly understands client’s content/search centric business issues and related challenges of client's organization and industry.
  • Conducting strategy advisory through workshops and system walkthroughs.
  • Practical experience in defining search gaps (Personalization, relevancy, etc.) across different applications.
  • Defining search integration requirements/pre-requisites for the enterprise, especially related to federated search requirements across portals, collaboration, and ECM platforms.
  • Designing knowledge graphs and other delivery mechanisms.
  • Defining search effectiveness metrics and tracking modalities.
  • Previous experience in product evaluation of search product suites such as Autonomy (IDOL, inclusive of Verity), Fast ESP, Oracle Endeca, Google, and/or Solr.
  • Expert in defining content governance and search frameworks.
  • Ability to visualize and document To-Be Landscape at:
    • Macro Level: In terms of People, Process, Content, and Technology
    • Micro Level: Functional specifications and system design specifications for client engagements.
  • Ability to derive and refine synonym rings and controlled vocabularies.
  • Ability to create To-Be Metadata framework, dictionary, and governance frameworks.
  • Must be well versed in the creation of analytical frameworks and ancillary collaterals.
  • Ability to shoulder/manage project specific administrative tasks.
  • Ancillary skills: Excellent communication skills.
