Job summary

Universal Health Services (UHS) is seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) / Medical Director to oversee psychiatric services at a Midwest behavioral health facility. This leadership role ensures delivery of high-quality patient care.

The CMO will lead a multidisciplinary team, oversee inpatient, PHP, and IOP programs for both youth and adults, and collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to improve care and operations.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified in Psychiatry; Child & Adolescent Psychiatry certification is a plus.
• Active medical license or eligibility for licensure in the state.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in psychiatry.
• Leadership experience in a psychiatric setting, overseeing inpatient Psychiatry preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners.
• Oversee inpatient, PHP, and IOP services for both child and adolescent, as well as adult populations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and UHS policies.
• Participate in strategic planning and development of new programs and services.
