Job summary

Katalyst-Healthcares- is seeking a maintenance engineer with hands-on SAP S/4HANA and CMMS experience to manage preventive and corrective maintenance for an Oil & Gas client in Texas. You will translate maintenance strategies into SAP master data, build and validate PM plans, and drive data-driven improvements.

The role requires strong analytics, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to coach a team through workshops and data quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (BS Engg.) required.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP PM, and CMMS data configuration.
• Able to translate maintenance strategies into SAP master data and update records.

Responsibilities

• Assess and execute maintenance work activities in CMMS for an Oil & Gas customer.
• Apply maintenance engineering experience in preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Oil & Gas equipment and maintenance processes.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance maintenance effectiveness.
• Develop and improve asset maintenance strategies.
• Conduct maintenance strategy workshops with stakeholders and coach team members.
• Create and validate Preventive Maintenance (PM) plans and task lists.
• Identify equipment components and link them to maintenance task lists.
• Understand PM structures and work management processes.
• Use data analytics to support maintenance decisions and improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams.
• Coordinate with planning and scheduling teams for work order management.
• Analyze existing maintenance master data and improve KPI dashboards.
• Extract and analyze SAP maintenance master data using relevant transaction codes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and execute maintenance work activities in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for an Oil & Gas customer.
• Apply maintenance engineering experience in preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of Oil & Gas equipment and maintenance processes.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance maintenance effectiveness.
• Develop and improve asset maintenance strategies.
• Conduct maintenance strategy workshops with stakeholders, review and approve deliverables, and coach team members.

Required Skills:

• CMMS & SAP: Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP PM).
• Plant Maintenance Master Data: Experience managing and building equipment master records, functional locations, maintenance task lists and items, maintenance plans, strategies, and components.
• Maintenance Strategy: Ability to translate equipment maintenance strategies into SAP master data and update records as needed.
• PM Plans & Task Lists: Experience creating, validating, and maintaining preventive maintenance plans and task lists.
• SAP Data Uploads: Experience developing templates for SAP master data uploads.
• Inspection Data: Knowledge of configuring inspection characteristics for specific equipment.
• SAP Transaction Codes: Familiarity with SAP PM transaction codes for master data extraction and analysis.
• Maintenance Optimization: Ability to analyze and optimize maintenance master data to improve execution and reporting.
• Data Analytics: Experience supporting KPI dashboards and data-driven maintenance decisions.
• Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Oil & Gas Maintenance: Knowledge of industrial equipment, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and work management processes.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Engineering degree (BS Engg).
• Experience in plant maintenance master data management.
• Strong hands‑on experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP PM, and CMMS data configuration.
• Understanding of asset maintenance strategies and Oil & Gas equipment.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and cross-functional coordination skills.
