Job description

This is a unique opportunity to own a customer integration division and help shape how businesses around the world are connected to their critical operational data, powered by our client’s products and services. As the CMMS Integration Engineer, you will have responsibility for the strategy and execution of integration projects from technical discovery through production deployment and ongoing support. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys interfacing with customers and creating strong partnerships, while technically roadmapping and delivering on CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) integrations. You would be joining the organization at an exciting time of growth, as the company is scaling globally and customer demand for integrations continues to grow, with active and upcoming projects spanning SAP, Hexagon, MaintainX, Maximo, Fiix, and other CMMS, ERP, and industrial systems.

This role requires more than technical execution. Customers need a trusted partner who communicates clearly, follows through, creates structure, and keeps complex initiatives moving. You will be responsible for establishing confidence in active projects, improving the health of existing integrations, and ensuring customers receive a responsive and well-managed experience throughout implementation and beyond.

You will also help build what comes next. That includes improving scaling integration possibilities, API capabilities, developing reusable integration packages, strengthening documentation, standardizing enterprise SSO, building vendor partnerships, creating better integration-health monitoring, and reducing the amount of custom work required for each new customer.

This is an opportunity for someone who can move comfortably between customer conversations, internal collaboration, technical architecture, hands-on development, troubleshooting, and long-term strategy. The environment has meaningful demand, real technical challenges, and significant room for someone with ownership and vision to create a more mature and scalable integration model.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own customer integration projects from discovery through deployment, stabilization, and ongoing support.
  • Serve as the trusted technical lead for customer IT, engineering, reliability, and security teams.
  • Translate operational workflows into scalable integrations across CMMS, ERP, MES, IoT, and enterprise platforms.
  • Design bidirectional workflows involving alerts, work orders, equipment records, asset IDs, and closure data.
  • Maintain clear project plans, customer communication, decisions, risks, action items, and next steps.
  • Troubleshoot failed or degraded integrations and establish stronger post-launch health monitoring.
  • Build reusable connectors, integration packages, reference architectures, documentation, and implementation tools.
  • Improve API capabilities, enterprise SSO, data standards, and integration architecture.
  • Evaluate partnership opportunities with platforms such as MaintainX and other enterprise-system providers.
  • Partner with Engineering, Product, Infrastructure, and Customer Success to prioritize the integration roadmap.
  • Use AI-enabled development tools to accelerate analysis, documentation, coding, and troubleshooting while maintaining strong technical judgment.
  • Create structure, consistency, and accountability across the broader integration function.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • 5+ years experience designing, developing, or supporting enterprise software integrations.
  • Experience with ERP, CMMS, MES, AWS, Azure, IoT platforms, MQTT, Node-RED, event streaming, or Infrastructure as Code is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, authentication, and event-driven architecture.
  • AI forward mentality and application, utilizing Claude, Codex, etc. to further development efforts.
  • Experience with SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, or other enterprise SSO technologies.
  • Ability to build production-quality code, prototypes, connectors, and integration tools.
  • Understanding of secure, multi-tenant application architecture.
  • Experience working directly with customers in solutions engineering, technical consulting, implementation, or a similar capacity.
  • Strong troubleshooting, solution-design, and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable taking ownership, navigating ambiguity, and creating structure in a fast-moving environment.
  • Experience creating technical documentation and reusable implementation resources is preferred.
What Naturally Makes You a Good Fit:
  • You are a genuine human being and care about the culture of where you work.
  • You enjoy working directly with customers and understanding the real problem behind a technical request.
  • You can move comfortably between architecture, development, troubleshooting, and customer communication.
  • You naturally create reusable solutions rather than solving the same problem repeatedly.
  • You take ownership without needing every step to be defined.
  • You bring structure and clarity to complex or ambiguous technical situations.
  • You balance customer needs with sound engineering judgment and business priorities.
  • You collaborate openly across Engineering, Product, Infrastructure, and Customer Success.
  • You are curious, analytical, and driven to continuously improve how things work.
  • You care about delivering a strong customer experience, not just a technically correct solution.
Benefits of working with the team:

As a valued member of the team, you will receive a competitive compensation package, including base compensation and bonus eligibility. Additional benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan, life insurance, paid time off, company-sponsored benefits, professional development opportunities, and the chance to grow alongside a rapidly expanding industrial technology organization.
