Job summary

Chromalox, together with its Durex Industries division, invites applications for a Quality Control Programmer. The role focuses on writing, testing, and maintaining automated CMM inspection programs to validate complex machined parts, thermal assemblies, and raw materials, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and GD&T standards.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years of offline/online CMM programming within an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment (thermal, aerospace, industrial equipment, or precision metal fabrication preferred).
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in major CMM software (PC-DMIS, Zeiss CALYPSO, MCOSMOS, or PolyWorks).
• Expert knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and blueprint interpretation.
• Strong familiarity with precision hand metrology tools (calipers, micrometers, height gages, optical comparators).

Responsibilities

• Create, test, and maintain automated CMM inspection programs using 3D CAD models and 2D engineering prints.
• Design, select, and assemble custom inspection holding fixtures and styli configurations for diverse component geometries.
• Perform initial dry runs to ensure offline/online CMM programs operate safely and efficiently without probe collisions.
