Local Machine Shop is seeking a skilled CMM Programmer/Quality Inspector to join a tenured team of machinists in Santa Clara, CA. The role focuses on programming and operating Mitutoyo CMMs, inspecting parts, and ensuring quality per ISO 9001:2015 standards.

Compensation includes an hourly rate of 45–52 USD, 4x10 hour shifts, paid vacation/PTO, and 401(k) eligibility after 1 year. Local candidates preferred for this hands-on quality role.

Formación

• Experience reading blueprints and GD&T to interpret specifications.
• Competence with precision measurement and metrology techniques.
• Familiarity with CMM programming and inspection processes.

• Inspect machined parts from first article through final inspection and prepare reports.

CMM Programmer/Quality Inspector Compensation And Benefits

CMM Programmer/Quality Inspector Responsibilties

• Program and operate Mitutoyo CMM using CMM Manager software.

• Identify supplier discrepancies, recommend corrective actions, maintain quality systems, and report nonconforming products to production management.

CMM Programmer/Quality Inspector Requirements

• Ability to program CMM-Mitutoyo CrystaApex.


• Mastery of relevant manufacturing and quality-related skills and concepts including advanced blueprint reading, working knowledge of GD&T, strong mathematics and analytical skills.
