Job summary

Quality Quartz Engineering, Inc. is seeking a skilled CMM Programmer to join our growing Quality team. You will work with Zeiss CMM systems to ensure parts meet exacting specifications and customer requirements.

You will interpret drawings and GD&T, develop robust CMM programs, and validate first article inspections. The role emphasizes continuous improvement, detailed documentation, and collaboration across shifts to maintain on-time delivery and high-quality results.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of CMM programming or operation experience.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Knowledge of precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, comparators).
• Basic computer literacy and ability to maintain digital records.
• Strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize Zeiss CMM programs for production and inspection activities.
• Interpret customer drawings, blueprints, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
• Validate first article inspections and production parts to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Troubleshoot and improve measurement processes to support quality and manufacturing teams.
• Perform preventive maintenance and coordinate repairs when necessary.
• Communicate inspection results, quality concerns, and program changes across departments and shifts.
• Support on-time delivery goals by effectively scheduling CMM activities.
• Maintain quality records, production documentation, and compliance with quality management systems.
• Review and verify shop-floor drawings created from customer specifications.
• Continuously improve processes and contribute ideas that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
