Job summary
EVCO Plastics in Oshkosh, WI is seeking a Layout Technician to support quality and manufacturing by programming and running CMM inspections to verify molded components meet print requirements and customer expectations.
You will interpret blueprints and GD&T, build inspection plans, analyze results, and maintain records. This onsite full-time role offers opportunities to work with leading metrology software and a collaborative engineering team.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of Calypso programming experience; Zeiss CMM experience.
- Strong blueprint reading, tolerancing, and GD&T knowledge.
- Proficiency in Excel; attention to detail in reporting.
- Plus: PC-DMIS, Hexagon/Brown & Sharpe, PolyWorks, scanning, ASME Y14.5/ISO 1101, SolidWorks, fixture design, injection molded part inspection.
Responsibilities
- Program and operate Zeiss CMMs using Calypso to execute layouts and first article inspections.
- Interpret blueprints, tolerances, and GD&T to build accurate inspection plans.
- Analyze measurement results, document findings, and communicate issues for timely resolution.
- Assist with capability and measurement studies (e.g., GR&R/CPK) and maintain organized inspection records.
