Job summary

Tality Pros seeks a detail-oriented Quality Assurance/Metrology specialist to bridge the Quality and Manufacturing groups. The role focuses on PC-DMIS run/programm ing, data collection, PPAP analysis, and GD&T compliance to ensure product conformance.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of CMM/metrology experience, CAD familiarity, and the ability to work with minimal supervision while training others on quality processes.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher preferred; minimum of a High School diploma/GED and 3 years experience operating CMM machinery.
• Metrology experience and CAD knowledge desired.
• Experience operating PC-DMIS software and programming CMMs.

Responsibilities

• Act as principal liaison between Quality and Manufacturing groups.
• Audit, enforce and train associates on all aspects of the quality policy.
• Run parts using PC-DMIS Software package and program CMM using CAD through PC-DMIS.
• Conduct PPAP data collection and analyze data to support quality decisions.
• Perform capability studies and analyze process variances to drive improvements.
• Assist with writing operator instructions and form/checksheets for new gages.

Job description

Act as the principle liaison between the Quality and Manufacturing groups. Audit, enforce and train other associates on all aspects of the quality policy. Should be self-directed and work well with minimal supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Able to run parts using PC-DMIS Software package
• Able to program CMM using CAD through PC-DMIS
• PPAP & Data collection & ability to analyze/interpret data
• Experience using SPC tools
• Able to read blueprints
• Knowledgeable in GD&T
• Conduct destructive testing of the weld (draw cup) for correlation studies as needed
• Hold non-conforming materials (use inventory management)
• Sort through non-conforming material as necessary to aid in disposition
• Perform all capability studies and analyze process variances
• Interact with internal & external customers all PSO’s & PPAP’s as needed
• Run all extra testing required as part of validation process after quarantine
• Problem solves (work with operations on shift to determine root cause of material on hold and make the appropriate changes to limit the amount of material placed on hold)
• Perform control plan audits. Work with engineers to update as needed
• Perform annual dimensional layouts per customer requirements and any additional as requested
• Perform Process/Product and LPA Audits
• Issue gages to production as necessary
• Assist with or answer 8D assignments on customer rejects
• Update ICP’s as needed for various programs as assigned
• Ability to generate new form/work instructions/checksheets
• Assist the Quality Manager and Quality Engineer as assigned
• Ability to write Operator Instruction for new gages

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associates degree or higher preferred or minimum of a High School diploma/GED and a minimum of three (3) years experience operating CMM machinery. Previous metrology experience and CAD desired.
