Job summary

Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. is seeking a CMM Programmer in Mayodan, NC to create PC-DMIS programs and support inline inspections. The role involves performing roving inspections, first article/PPAP checks, and gage calibration coordination.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or 2-year technical, military or trade school. 5+ years of on-the-job experience in CMM programming using PC-DMIS.
• Strong computer skills and advanced use of standard measurement equipment.
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance and CAD modeling; traceability principles.

Responsibilities

• Create CMM programs for inline inspection and full layout.
• Perform roving complete inspection of machined parts.
• Conduct first article/PPAP inspections for vendor parts and gage R&R studies.
• Assist with gage certification and calibration.
• Develop standard work instructions and train technicians in gaging techniques.
