Job summary

Consolidated Precision Products Eastlake is seeking a motivated CMM Programmer/Calibration Technician to program, operate, and maintain CMMs, Atos Blue Light and other metrology tools for accurate casting measurements for internal and external customers.

The role involves developing CMM/Blue Light programs, interpreting drawings, performing FAIRs and measurement studies, and supporting AS9100/Nadcap standards, with opportunities for advancement and a strong emphasis on safety.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• 3-5 years manufacturing experience.
• 5-8 years as a Layout/CMM/BL Programmer.
• Knowledge of DMIS and CAD tools is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement CMM/Blue Light programs as requested by engineers.
• Interpret drawings/models to ensure accurate measurement inspection.

JOB SUMMARY

Program, operate, and maintain the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), Atos Blue Light and other metrology tools to ensure an accurate casting measurement inspection for internal and external customers.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

t

• Develop and implement CMM/Blue Light programs at the request of engineers and need for product development. t
• Interpret product drawings and models to achieve a proper and accurate measurement inspection process. t
• Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot programs for the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and Atos Blue Light Machines. t
• Complete first article inspection reports (FAIRs), delta FAIRs, and measurement studies as required using various metrology tools. t
• Perform production inspections for engineer inquiries and quality assurance. t
• Supply and interpret CMM/Blue Light inspection data in various formats using computer aided design (CAD), Microsoft Office, AS9102 protocol, and customer specific systems. t
• Organize measurement data into reports to be interpreted by internal and external customers. t
• File and save data into a secure and appropriate network location. t
• Perform and document preventative and corrective maintenance on measurement machines and tools. t
• Interact with Team Leaders, Engineers, Manufacturing Managers, and external customers regarding measurement inspection matters. t
• Assist in the calibration of gages and tools. t
• Comply with and support AS9100 and Nadcap certification standards as well as customer specific standards. t
• Actively participate in Continuous Improvement activities. t
• Adhere to and enforce proper safety/security procedures and protocol. t
• Maintain CMM/Blue Lights- calibration, maintenance, general functioning.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:Associate degree or equivalent from a college or technical school.

Previous Experience:

t

• 3-5 years manufacturing experience. t
• 5-8 years as a Layout/CMM/BL Programmer. t
• Blade analysis software knowledge. t
• LK-DMIS, LK/Nikon CAMIO (or relevant work) Unigraphics/Polyworks a plus. t
• SolidWorks and/or NX CAD experience. t
• 3D dimensional/spatial reasoning.

Read. Write. General knowledge of the casting process. Knowledge of Dimensional Measuring Interface Standards (DMIS), CAD (NX Platform), SolidWorks or similar modeling software and Microsoft Office Suite. • Working Environment: Office Environment
• Physical Demands: Sitting/Standing for extended periods of time, able to lift up to 20lbs, extended periods of time using a computer screen.
• Travel Requirements: 5-10%

• Safety Glasses: Needed in all areas of the plant.
• Steel toe shoes: Needed in all areas of the plant.
