Job summary

Unify Recruit is seeking a skilled CMM Programmer to join our Quality Assurance team. You will program and operate Hexagon Metrology CMMs using PC-DMIS to verify critical dimensions on high-precision medical implant components, ensuring compliance with FDA and ISO 13485 standards.

You will develop inspection programs, interpret drawings and GD&T, perform multiple inspection stages, analyze results, and collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to improve processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CMM programming experience in a regulated, high-precision environment (medical device, aerospace, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and 3D CAD (SolidWorks or equivalent)
• Proficiency with CMM software; PC-DMIS highly preferred
• Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and understanding of compliance standards
• Ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and run CMM inspection programs for medical implants and precision components
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T, and 3D CAD models to build accurate inspection strategies
• Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections for titanium, stainless steel, and other high-precision parts
• Analyze results, identify non-conformances, and recommend corrective actions
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to improve processes and workflows
• Support gage R&R studies, calibration, and validation efforts
• Train and guide QC inspectors on CMM operation and inspection interpretation

In this position, you will program and operate Hexagon Metrology CMMs using PC-DMIS to verify critical dimensions on high-precision components. Your expertise will help maintain full compliance with FDA and ISO 13485 standards and support the safety and performance of products that improve patient lives.

What You’ll Do
