Job summary

DEKA Research & Development is seeking a CMM Programmer to impact multiple R&D projects from our AMOSkeag Millyard location. You will perform precise inspections, select appropriate measuring equipment, and verify components against released specifications.

You will generate Quality History Records, support adherence to procedures, and participate in developing inspection methods to improve accuracy and efficiency across projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a CMM programmer role or equivalent.
• Ability to collaborate across teams to resolve inspection issues and ideate solutions.
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and in teams.
• Capable of setting up inspections for components with tight tolerances.
• Proficient in GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
• Experience with measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, optical comparator, CMMs, Blue Light Scanner).
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with software tools.
• Familiarity with standard sampling plans and AQL.
• Experience handling ESD-sensitive components.
• Certified Inspector or GD&T certification is a plus.

DEKA Research & Development has an immediate opening for a CMM Programmer to work in a dynamic Medical Device Research, Development. This position reports to the Quality Operations Manager and is a highly visible role with significant and direct impact on the success of various R&D projects.

How you will make an impact:

• Perform inspections using random samples from large volume lots across various different projects, ensuring accurate and precise data is delivered by utilizing various measurement tools
• Select available measuring equipment for accurate and efficient inspections
• Perform inspections of purchased components/material and manufactured product according to released and redlined specifications
• Generate and review Quality History Records and associated documentation for compliance to established procedures and Good Documentation Practices
• Participate in the development and/or revision of inspection methods and procedures

To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and experience:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a CMM programmer role or relevant
• Work across various teams and projects, collaboratively to resolve problems and brainstorm on mechanical inspection solutions
• Possess organizational skills and have a strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and as a team
• Ability to set up inspections for very intricate components with tight tolerances
• Proficient with GD&T and Blueprint interpretation
• Experience utilizing measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, optical comparator, CMMs and Blue Light Scanner
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of software tools
• Familiarity with standard sampling plans and AQL
• Experience with proper handling of Electro-static discharge (ESD) sensitive components
• Certified Inspector and/or GD&T certification a plus
