Job summary

MSI-Viking is seeking an experienced CMM Programmer to support dimensional inspection and measurement activities using PC-DMIS and Calypso. The role involves developing, modifying, and executing CMM programs from CAD models and drawings, and interpreting complex engineering data.

The ideal candidate will be technically strong, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while supporting customers and internal teams. On-site duties in Greer, SC are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of CMM programming experience.
• Hands-on programming with PC-DMIS and Calypso.
• Strong understanding of GD&T.
• Ability to interpret complex drawings, blueprints and CAD models.
• Strong dimensional inspection and measurement skills.
• Experience with QA and inspection processes.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and execute CMM programs using PC-DMIS and Calypso.
• Develop inspection programs from CAD models, engineering drawings, and customer specifications.
• Operate and troubleshoot CMM equipment.
• Perform precision dimensional inspections and analyze results.
• Apply GD&T principles to inspection and programming activities.
• Conduct measurement system analysis and provide technical guidance.
• Troubleshoot programming, alignment, probing, and measurement issues.
• Document inspection results and prepare clear reports.
• Work with customers and internal teams to resolve measurement and quality concerns.

This role is responsible for developing, modifying, and executing CMM programs; interpreting complex engineering drawings and CAD models; troubleshooting measurement issues; and ensuring accurate, reliable inspection results across multiple CMM platforms.

The ideal candidate is technically strong, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while also supporting customers and internal teams.

• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate degree in engineering technology, manufacturing technology, metrology, or a related field preferred
