Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a CMM Quality Inspector in El Monte, CA to program and operate CMM equipment, inspect CNC parts, and ensure conformance to customer specs. You will read blueprints and GD&T, use PC‑DMIS, and collaborate with CNC production to resolve issues and coordinate rework.

Training other inspectors and contributing to quality projects may be required. The role emphasizes strong measurement skills, aerospace-quality awareness, and ability to handle overtime shifts as needed.

Job Description

The CMM Quality Inspector will set up, program, and operate CMM equipment to inspect CNC‑machined parts and ensure they meet quality and customer specifications. They’ll read blueprints and GD&T, use PC‑DMIS and various measuring tools, work closely with CNC production to identify issues and coordinate rework, and support engineers with more complex inspections. They may also help train other inspectors and assist with quality‑related projects as needed. 1 First Shift: 5:30AM - 2 PM, 1 2nd Shift is 2-10:30 PM

Skills and Requirements

• Experience setting up, programming, and operating CMM equipment
• PC‑DMIS experience
• Hexagon Metrology CMM Level 1
• Strong blueprint reading
• Strong understanding of GD&T
• Experience using handheld and surface‑plate measuring tools
• Able to read and follow customer specifications, process standards, and quality requirements
• High school diploma/GED
• Basic computer/Microsoft Office skills
• Able to lift/push/pull 50 lbs
• Able to work required shift and potential weekend/holiday overtime
• Must pass required vision testing
• Experience with Romer/articulated‑arm CMMs
• AS9100 / aerospace quality experience
• Experience working alongside CNC machining/production
• Comfortable training or mentoring other inspectors
• Experience with Gill Process Documents such as GPS, GMS, or GOS
