Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in precision machining (aerospace defense) industry environment.
  • 3 years of experience in Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programming and operating in a 3D Measuring Environment

Responsibilities

  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements to ensure accurate measurement and reporting
  • Perform precise dimensional inspections and analyze measurement data to ensure compliance with engineering specifications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CMM programs, fixturing and measuring instruments to maintain smooth operational performance
  • Works closely with engineering and production teams during product validation process and to solve quality problems in the manufacturing process.
  • Devise strategies for system enhancements which assure long range integrity and cost effectiveness of the measurement system

Job description

  • The CMM Programmer is responsible for the management and operation of CMM measuring instruments and programs.
  • This includes ensuring procedures are followed, resolving quality related issues, periodic inspection and calibration of measuring instruments to ensure measurement reliability, generation of reports, tracking of data, and recommendation of process improvements.
  • In this role, you will be responsible for programming, operating, and maintaining Zeiss coordinate measuring machines (CMM) systems to ensure that products meet the highest standards of quality and precision
What You’ll Do:
  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Zeiss Calypso CMM, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of CMMs and quality control procedures
