The ideal candidate has 2+ years in quality inspection, GD&T proficiency, blueprint reading, and Calypso/CATIA experience with certification; lifting up to 50 lbs; day shift; full-time. This is an on-site aerospace role.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of CMM operation and programming experience.
  • CMM operation/programming certification required
  • Strong blueprint reading skills
  • Proficiency in GD&T
  • Ability to use precision measuring and inspection equipment
  • Ability to perform layout inspections
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to accurately document inspection results
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted

Responsibilities

  • Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections on aerospace components
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Apply GD&T principles to inspection and measurement activities
  • Operate and program CMM equipment to verify part dimensions and specifications
  • Operate and maintain Zeiss G2 5-axis CMM equipment
  • Use Calypso software for CMM operations and programming
  • Interpret Catia annotations and engineering data
  • Determine CMM programming requirements based on engineering designs
  • Use precision measuring equipment and inspection tools
  • Perform layout inspections as required
  • Determine product acceptance or rejection based on applicable specifications
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
  • Identify, document, and control nonconforming products
  • Enter inspection and job-related information into JobBOSS
  • Prioritize inspection workload to support production schedules
  • Work with manufacturing personnel to investigate and resolve quality issues
  • Ensure CMM and other precision inspection equipment are properly maintained and calibrated
  • Help prevent production delays by identifying quality concerns early

Quality Inspector & CMM Operator

Location: Tulsa, OK

Pay: BOE $23-$28

Schedule: Day Shift, Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM; Saturday: As needed

Position Summary

A leading aerospace manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector & CMM Operator to perform first article, in-process, and final inspections while operating and maintaining precision CMM equipment. This position will ensure aerospace components meet engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong inspection experience, advanced knowledge of GD&T, and hands-on experience operating and programming CMM equipment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections on aerospace components
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Apply GD&T principles to inspection and measurement activities
  • Operate and program CMM equipment to verify part dimensions and specifications

Additional Qualifications
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working under an AS9100 quality management system
  • Experience with calibration systems
  • Zeiss CMM experience preferred
  • Calypso experience preferred
  • Catia annotation experience preferred
  • NDT Level I, II, or III certification in Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection is preferred but not required
  • Weld Inspector certification is preferred but not required
  • Post-secondary education may substitute for some experience
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods while performing inspections
  • Ability to move throughout the manufacturing facility as needed
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment
