Job summary

Princeton Precision Group seeks an experienced 2nd shift CMM Operator to inspect castings, fixtures, and tooling using CMM software. You will measure dimensions per work instructions and document results to support quality assurance.

Qualified candidates have 2+ years in CMM operations, GD&T proficiency, and experience with PC-DMIS or Calypso. Training for up to 90 days on first shift, then move to second shift. Compensation starts at $18.00/hour with full benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience operating CMM equipment.
• Able to read and interpret GD&T drawings.
• Experience with CMM software PC-DMIS or Calypso.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Able to document inspection results and generate reports.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with engineering and quality teams.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CMM equipment to inspect parts.
• Follow work instructions and select appropriate CMM programs.
• Calibrate and maintain measuring equipment to ensure accuracy.

We are actively seeking an experienced 2nd shift CMM Operator to join and grow in the PPG organization. The Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Operator will inspect castings, fixtures, and related tooling utilizing CMM software to measure dimensions according to work instructions.

Requirements

• Set up and operate CMM equipment to inspect parts
• Follow work instructions and select appropriate CMM program to inspect castings

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 or more years’ experience operating CMM equipment
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and GD&T
• Experience with CMM software (PC-DMIS or Calypso)
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently
• Intermediate knowledge of PC programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Familiarity with manual inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.
• Basic understanding and knowledge of AS9100D and NADCAP standards

Compensation

• Starts at $18.00 per hour

Schedule

• Training for up to 90 days on first shift: 6:00am to 2:30 pm.
• Then to second shift: 10:00am to 6:30pm.
