Job summary

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years of CMM operation or quality inspection in a machining environment.
• High school diploma or GED; technical certificate or some college preferred.
• Experience running established CMM programs (PC-DMIS, CALYPSO) or editable programs is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings with basic GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
• Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, CMMs, and related precision measuring tools.
• MS Word and MS Excel proficiency; strong written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Operate the CMM to inspect precision machined parts using established programs.
• Load, fixture, and align parts per program and inspection instructions.
• Run First Article, In-Process, and Final Inspection routines on the CMM.
• Make minor program adjustments under established procedures.
• Document measurement results and report any out-of-tolerance conditions.
• Interpret drawings and GD&T to confirm inspection requirements.
• Generate inspection reports and logs for traceability.
• Maintain CMM and measuring equipment in good working order.
• Support FAI documentation requirements.
• Communicate dimensional concerns to leads and supervisors.
