Job summary

Anchor Harvey in Schaumburg, IL is seeking a skilled CMM Operator to operate and program CMM equipment for inspecting precision metal components, ensuring they meet customer specifications.

The ideal candidate will read engineering drawings and GD&T, program with PC-DMIS or Calypso, perform FAI and in-process inspections, and document results while supporting continuous improvement in quality and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating CMM equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso).
• Strong understanding of GD&T and mechanical inspection techniques.
• Experience working with metal components and precision machining.

Responsibilities

• Operate CMM equipment to inspect metal components for dimensional accuracy.
• Program CMM machines using PC-DMIS or Calypso.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T specifications.
• Perform first article inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final inspections.
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of measurements and deviations.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
• Maintain and calibrate measuring equipment and ensure proper functioning of CMM machines.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in quality and manufacturing processes.
