Sonaca North America is seeking a CMM Operator to support quality and manufacturing teams in our Missouri facility. The role focuses on operating the CMM, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring data integrity across CAD/CAM systems.

The ideal candidate has experience with CMM software (Polyworks/Verisurf/PC-DMIS), reads drawings, and works well in a team, with a strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; pre-employment assessment if no diploma.
• Experience with CMM programs and reading blueprints or customer specs.
• Familiar with Polyworks, Verisurf or PC-DMIS software and CAD data (CATIA/SolidWorks).
• Manufacturing experience with computer-assisted production and measurement tools.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; GD&T knowledge.
• Able to move/lift 30–50 lbs; good attendance and teamwork.

• Use forklift to setup fixtures for the CMM.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a CMM Operator under the direction of the Quality Supervisor, in all actions, will demonstrate a high level of confidentiality; supports Sonaca North America's Quality Policy, Mission Statement and other Company policies and procedures by supporting our commitment to total customer satisfaction, quality products and services, lean processes, continuous improvement, on-time delivery, safety, teaming, individual accountability and respect for people.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Start up and operate the CMM following the proper operating and safety procedures.
• Read and understand setup sheets and set up jobs per instructions
• Read and understand Sonaca North America sampling plan and run setup jobs per plan requirements.
• Read and understand CMM part programs, make minor setup and program adjustments as necessary on a personal computer (PC) system.
• Complete data entry and exchange through the CAD/CAM and work tracking systems.
• Follow parts schedule prepared by the supervisor.
• Modify the schedule as required to accommodate "hot jobs" or emergency requirements.
• Work with CAD/CAM programmers, quality, and production personnel to identify and resolve problems.
• Perform daily routine maintenance on the CMM to ensure the safe and efficient operation.
• Participate in work center team and/or other project teams.
• Utilize forklift to setup fixtures used for CMM

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES

• High school diploma or high school equivalency preferred.
• Candidates that do not have a high school diploma or high school equivalency will be required to take a pre-employment assessment to be considered for the role.
• Familiar with Polyworks, Verisurf or PC-DMIS Software The ability to read blueprints, mylars and customer specifications.
• Familiarity with CATIA/SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD Software.
• Preferably prior CMM experience or CNC mill operation experience with posting and running jobs Solid experience with various measurement tools and methods.
• Manufacturing experience particularly with computer assisted production.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
• The ability to work with all Company personnel in a cooperative and pleasant manner.
• Work record, which demonstrates a commitment to quality and efficiency. This includes a good attendance record.
• Ability to move/lift up to 30-50lbs
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work overtime as needed
