Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and maintain CMM machines for drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
  • Read blueprints and mechanical drawings to understand tasks.

  • Load raw materials and parts onto machines.
  • Supervise machines and adjust for quality improvements.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure specifications.
  • Maintain machinery daily and troubleshoot issues.
  • Program CMM machines and adhere to safety protocols.

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic CMM Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This is a permanent position where you will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting CMM machines, as well as programming / willingness to learn to program them. You will also be tasked with using precision measuring tools to ensure the quality of our products. This role is key to our operations and requires a meticulous and detail-oriented professional with a deep understanding of CMM machines.

Responsibilities
  • Setting up, operating, and maintaining CMM machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.
  • Understanding specifications of the task at hand by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
  • Translating instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
  • Preparing and loading raw materials and parts onto the machines.
  • Supervising the machines while they execute the tasks and making any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
  • Inspecting and measuring finished products to ensure they meet requirements.
  • Checking and maintaining machinery daily to ensure functionality.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving machine-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Programming CMM machines, ensuring optimal performance and output.
  • Adhering to all safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CMM Machinist or in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of CMM machine setup and operation.
  • Familiarity with / willingness to learn programming.
  • Experience with precision measuring tools.
  • Strong understanding of blueprints and mechanical drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, relevant certification or degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of producing quality work within deadlines.
  • Knowledge of safety measures pertinent to each job/task.
  • Ability to maintain focus while performing repetitive tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety guidelines.
