Job summary

Atlas Fibre, LLC in Northbrook, IL is seeking a skilled CMM Programmer to join our precision metrology team. You will program and operate Zeiss CMMs using Calypso, develop inspection routines for new and existing parts, and ensure measurement accuracy.

You will interpret complex drawings and CAD models, apply GD&T, document results, and collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on CMM programming experience.
• Zeiss CMM and Calypso software experience are strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models.
• Proven precision measurement skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate Zeiss CMM equipment using Calypso software.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain CMM inspection programs for new and existing parts.
• Verify calibration status and ensure measurement accuracy of CMM equipment.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to create inspection routines.
• Apply GD&T principles to ensure parts meet geometric dimensioning and tolerancing requirements.
• Document inspection results, generate detailed reports, and communicate findings to engineering and production teams.
