Job summary

Bell & Associates, Inc. is recruiting a CMM Supervisor in Wichita, KS to lead CMM operators and programmers. You will oversee inspection data, program CMMs, and support RCCA to drive improvements in part quality.

The role includes formal reporting, audits, and collaboration with product engineers to ensure dimensional accuracy and conformance. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of leadership in CMM environments, knowledge of CMM equipment and software, and a strong mathematical background.

Qualifications

• 3+ years leadership experience, preferably CMM leadership
• Working knowledge of stationary CMM equipment and the supporting software packages
• Use of advanced mathematics with manuals, specifications, precision instruments and software
• Required: High school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred: 5+ years operating or leading CMM
• 2-year technical college education or apprenticeship in a recognized trade or occupation

Responsibilities

• Lead the CMM operators and programmers in daily activities and programming as needed
• Report on daily GEMBA walks with details on what was run and what is going to run
• Perform RCCA to understand parts not meeting rates and drive improvements
• Review drawings and models to determine dimensions and tolerance specs for measurement
• Report and escalate CMM equipment or material issues to CMM Lead
• Interpret and summarize inspection data and document AS9102 First Article Inspection reports
• Maintain detailed records of programs and inspection results
• Assist engineers and manufacturing in analysis of dimensional inspection data
• Perform in-process inspection and mechanical inspections using standard tools
• CMM programming prior to machining/manufacture of upcoming product
• Assist in audits (internal, customer, ISO)
