Job summary

Century Mold in Rochester, NY, is seeking a CMM Layout Technician for the B shift to perform layout inspections for new programs and changes. You will use fixturing, GD&T tools, and PC DMIS/Measuremax software to ensure on-time layouts and precise measurements.

The role involves interpreting drawings, supporting in-process inspections, and driving continuous improvement with careful communication of issues and timelines.

Qualifications

• Preferred college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Email/Teams); PC DMIS software; GD&T software; Measuremax software.
• Ability to learn new software as needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete layout inspection activities for launch of new programs, annual layouts, and engineering changes for current programs.
• Utilization of fixturing for the layouts.
• Support manufacturing operations through completion of in-process product inspections as details in QCP.
• Assist in resolution of customer complaints and participate in continuous improvement activities through completion of product layouts including capability studies.
• Interpret customer part drawings including GD&T designations for proper part staging and measurement methodology.
• Seek most efficient means of delivering on-time layouts with heavy emphasis on programming for repetitive measurements.
• Timely communication of issues preventing the completion of on-time layouts.

Salary Range: $22.00 To $28.00 Hourly
