Job summary

KMT Waterjet, a Shape Technologies Group company, seeks a skilled quality inspector to ensure product conformity through CMM inspections and GD&T interpretation. You will work with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Production to identify quality concerns and support corrective actions while maintaining thorough documentation.

The ideal candidate has experience with blueprints, GD&T, and ISO 9001 standards, and will contribute to continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical training in Manufacturing, Machining, Metrology, or Quality preferred.
• Minimum two years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience inspecting CNC-machined components strongly preferred.
• Experience operating CMM equipment and interpreting inspection reports preferred.
• Reading blueprints and GD&T interpretation required.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving, in-process, first article, and final inspections on machined components and assemblies.
• Operate CMM to verify dimensional compliance with engineering specs.
• Create, modify, and execute CMM inspection programs as required.
• Interpret drawings, blueprints, specs, and GD&T requirements.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation.
• Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming materials and products.
• Support containment, root cause investigations, and corrective actions.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
