Job summary

MultiCare Health System seeks a Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) to provide executive physician leadership for health informatics strategy, focusing on EHR usability, safety, and clinician experience. The CMIO will drive governance, optimization, and AI governance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in Washington state.
• 5+ years of clinical practice with 5+ years in informatics leadership.
• Board Certification in ABMS recognised specialty.
• Board Certification in ABPM - Clinical Informatics.
• Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as system-wide physician executive leader for clinical informatics and EHR usability.
• Partner with physician leadership, nursing, quality, safety, compliance and operations.
• Provide strategic oversight for Epic design, governance, optimization and change management.
• Lead clinical governance structures and prioritize enhancements and standards.
• Act as physician voice in major clinical transformation initiatives and AI governance.
• Collaborate with CMIOs and IS&T to align informatics strategy with goals.
