Job summary

HNI Corporation is seeking a CMF & Textile Engineer to join the HNI Workplace Furnishings team in Muscatine, IA. You will implement new textiles and finishes, manage discontinuations, and drive 3-year product strategy to improve time-to-market and profitability.

You will execute color matching, PPAP approvals, textile testing, and collaborate with Operations on product classifications, PLM processes, and data-driven opportunities to strengthen the customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or Industrial Engineering).
• At least one year of related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Execute color matching, part harmony, and PPAP approvals for all colorized materials.
• Execute all textile testing and identify technical textile requirements.
• Partner with Operations on characteristic classifications of HNI products.
• Drive Product Lifecycle Management processes.
• Integrate assigned process initiatives to ensure flawless execution.
• Analyze data, identify opportunities and develop business case to support conclusions.
• Participate in activities as appropriate to ensure the success of the organization.
