Job summary

Aura Biosciences, Inc. in Boston seeks a CMC Project Manager reporting to the Associate Director, CMC Program Management.

You will lead cross-functional CMC drug development activities, coordinating internal operations and external CDMOs, developing plans, timelines and risk management. The role requires a Bachelor's in a life sciences field, 5+ years in pharma/biotech with ≥3 years in PM, and proficiency with Smartsheet, MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in Pharma/Biotech with ≥3 years in project management.
• Direct CMC experience and cross-functional drug development.
• Proficiency with PM tools: Smartsheet, MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint.
• CDMO experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel to CDMOs as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences or related field; PMP preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage cross-functional CMC project teams across development programs.
• Collaborate with SMEs to outline activities, risks and resources; develop plans.
• Serve as day-to-day CDMO contact; track deliverables and timelines.
• Improve templates for action trackers, risk registers and plans.
• Develop timelines, create Gantt charts and present to team/leadership.
• Prepare agendas, capture minutes and monitor open actions.
• Ensure workstreams have comprehensive project plans and dissemination.
• Organize project information in shared areas for easy access.
• Identify and escalate project risks to the Associate Director.
• Support management of the CMC budget.
