UTMB Health in Texas is seeking a trainee correctional medication aide within Correctional Managed Care to support the nursing department and gain educational training toward certification. Starting hourly rate is $16.25, with advancement upon completion of the program.
The role includes online coursework, on-site and on-unit training, and duties such as data entry, patient assistance, and maintaining confidential records in a secure correctional setting.
The mission of Correctional Managed Care is to address the healthcare needs of underserved patient populations within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) and the Texas Juvenile Justice Department (TJJD).
Provides basic administrative and clinical assistance within the nursing department allowing for the transition from student to employee offering educational training leading to an opportunity to become a certified correctional medication aide.
