AEC is seeking a Technical Leader for ceramic matrix composites (CMC) to drive growth by inserting advanced materials and emerging technologies into production applications. You will collaborate with Engineering, R&T and Business Development to identify opportunities and strengthen AEC's market position.

The role emphasizes building strong customer relationships, leading TRL 4–7 development projects, and contributing to technology focus areas while traveling up to 40% monthly.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in composite industry Engineering, Sales, and/or Marketing in an engineered products business.
• Experience in CMC (Ceramic Matrix Composites), Hypersonic and Advanced Electronics.
• Undergraduate degree, preferably in Business or Engineering; advanced degree helpful but not required.
• Experience or training in aerospace composites or textile manufacturing with understanding of mechanics of materials.
• Demonstrated experience in R&T environment and ability to deliver results in a high-growth org.
• Able to travel up to 40% monthly and able to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• CMC composites technical lead for new opportunities and interface with Business Development on inserting new technologies with customers.
• Develops technical scopes of work, proposals, and production pricing targets to drive adoption of technologies.
• Provides technical leadership and support to project engineers during execution.
• Builds and maintains relationships with targeted customers to identify needs and opportunities for insertion.
• Supports industry engagement and strengthens AEC's brand in the marketplace.
• Contributes to the organization's knowledge base on CMC materials and processes.
