Job summary

Piedmont Medical Care Corporation in Georgia is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care under the supervision of a physician, APP, or RN. You will perform a range of clinical tasks within established guidelines to ensure high-quality care.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma or MA/Nursing Assistant training, or equivalent experience, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical setting with a focus on patient safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or Nursing Assistant program required.
• In lieu of formal education, one year of medical assistant or related clinical experience required.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Preferred and
• Graduate of an accredited an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program Required or
• In Lieu of formal education program, one (1) year of medical assistant or related clinical experience Required

Work Experience

• No experience required Required or
• In lieu of degree one (1) year of medical assistant or related clinical experience Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required and
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or a similarly recognized certifying organization Required or
• National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)-NCTT Required
