Job summary

The Iowa Clinic in West Des Moines is seeking a dedicated nurse to provide exceptional care during standard clinic hours without night shifts. You will conduct assessments, room patients, and assist providers in delivering meaningful patient care.

A day in the life...

• Arrive at work in the morning – no night shifts here!
• Provide professional nursing services for patients of assigned physician(s) following established nursing practice standards and medical office procedures; Monday-Friday, standard clinic hours at our various Primary Care facilities: Urbandale, West Des Moines, Ankeny, Waukee, Johnston, Altoona, and Indianola!
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient's care needs
• Room patients and take vitals
• Assist provider(s) with patient triage, identify nursing diagnoses or problem lists and formulate an initial plan of care based on assessment data
• Spend enough time with your patients to listen to them and get to know them
• Participate in a department potluck or team building activity over lunch
• Visit The Iowa Clinic intranet to see what volunteer opportunities are available to you this month and read what is happening around the clinic
• Return patient calls and ensure all patients feel valued and cared for
• Leave in the evening - hooray for working standard clinic hours!
