The Iowa Clinic seeks a CMA/LPN/RN for the Family Medicine Department in Downtown Des Moines. Workdays are Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with no night shifts, providing professional nursing services and patient assessment under physician supervision.

Required Iowa RN license, CMA, or LPN license, plus BCLS and Iowa Mandatory Reporter certification. Expect a supportive team, patient-centered care, and opportunities for growth.

A day in the life…

Wondering what a day in the life of anCMA/LPN/RN in our Family Medicine Departmentat The Iowa Clinic might look like while supporting Dr. Gupta in our Downtown Clinic?

• Arrive at work in the morning – no night shifts here!
• Schedule: Monday to Friday; 8am-5pm
• Provides professional nursing services for patients of assigned physician(s) following established nursing practice standards and medical office hospital procedures
• Conducts comprehensive assessments of patient's care needs
• Room patients and take vitals
• Assists provider(s) with patient triage, identifies nursing diagnoses or problem lists and formulates an initial plan of care based on assessment data
• Spend enough time with your patients to listen to them and get to know them
• Participate in a department potluck or team building activity over lunch
• Visit The Iowa Clinic intranet to see what volunteer opportunities are available to you this month and read what is happening around the clinic
• Return patient calls and ensure all patients feel valued and cared for
• Leave in the evening – hooray for working standard clinic hours!

Required Licenses

• Iowa RN license, CMA, or LPN License required.
• Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required.
• State of Iowa Mandatory Reporter Certification is required
