Job summary

Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital in Rhinelander, WI is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Surgery team. The CMA/LPN will support patient care in an outpatient surgical setting under the supervision of licensed staff and perform delegated tasks as trained.

Full-Time, 80 hours per pay period, Day only. Requires graduation from an accredited MA program or CMA registration, and current or 6-month-prepare BLS certification with annual competencies.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited MA program or three years equivalence in medical background and experience.
• One year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Current Medical Assistant Certification or Registration required or must be obtained within six (6) months of hire.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire; maintain through training and testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care duties under supervision of a licensed medical professional within outpatient care.
• Assist in a wide variety of clinical and non-clinical tasks on the Surgery team.
• Maintain BLS training and complete annual competencies as required by Aspirus and regulatory agencies.

Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital in Rhinelander, WI is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse to join our SURGERY team!

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is a member of the care team in the clinic setting who performs a wide variety of supportive tasks through the outpatient continuum of care including both clinical and non-clinical duties. The CMA will perform patient care duties under the supervision of a licensed medical professional. CMA's may perform delegated interventions they are trained and competent to perform within the confines of state regulations. The CMA represents a Medical Assistant who has been certified or registered.

HOURS: Full-Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every pay period, Day only

Experience/Qualifications

Knowledge of patient care standards and practices normally acquired through graduation from an accredited MA program or three years equivalence in medical background and experience.

One year of healthcare experience preferred.

Current Medical Assistant Certification or Registration required or must be obtained within six (6) months of hire.

Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable CPR training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the America Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED.

Annual competencies as required by Aspirus and/or various regulatory agencies based on entity and/or job position.
