Job summary

Prevea Health in Green Bay, Wisconsin is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse to support pre-visit planning, rooming, and in-office procedures. This full-time role involves clerical and clinical tasks as directed by a medical provider to ensure patients feel at ease during visits.

Responsibilities include patient rooming with vital signs, coordinating schedules, preparing charts, and assisting with injections, immunizations, and discharge instructions.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program or Practical Nursing program. Required
• Minimum of 160 hours of direct patient care experience as a MA/LPN. Required
• Current clinical experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
• Current clinical experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse preferred

Responsibilities

• Room patients, perform and document vital signs and patient backgrounds.
• Coordinate provider schedules and appointment, enter orders and prepare patient charts.
• Instruct patients and families as directed within scope of licensure or certification.
• Prepare patients and assist medical providers with in-office procedures and prepare and administer medications/immunizations.
• Maintain exam rooms and equipment to be within infection control standards.
