The role involves preparing patients for physician visits, taking vitals, documenting information in the EMR, and assisting at the front desk with patient services and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Proven basic clinical and front-desk skills.
• Ability to take vitals and document in EMR.
• Familiarity with OSHA/HIPAA standards.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient demographics, medical history, prescription and pharmacy information for the provider.
• Take vitals and document vital information into the EMR system.
• Assist at the front desk with phone calls and updating patient demographics.
• Prepare and administer medications as delegated by a physician or clinician.
• Maintain clean and properly equipped patient rooms and offices.
• Provide excellent patient care and customer service to internal and external customers.
• Support providers with effective communication and charting.
• Occasionally cover at other clinic locations as needed.
