Job summary

FirstHealth of the Carolinas, Inc. is seeking qualified nursing/medical assistant staff to support patient care across its central North Carolina facilities. The role involves obtaining vitals, assisting with exams, and coordinating lab tests and referrals under provider supervision.

Ideal candidates will be LPN certified or MA-certified with Epic EMR experience, strong communication skills, and a customer-service oriented approach. Associates degree is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an LPN program and have a current license.
• Graduate from a national accredited Medical Assistant program with active registration or certification.
• Associates Degree preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs and general health information for patient chart and prepare patient for examination.
• Assist the provider with examinations and procedures as needed.
• Assist in collection of laboratory specimens and performance of tests as ordered.
• Enter and record patient information concisely and accurately in charts.
