Job summary

Duke Raleigh Campus is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for the Hematology/Oncology Outpatient Clinic in Raleigh, NC. The CMA will support both administrative and clinical duties in a busy cancer care setting, ensuring patients are prepared for exams and treatments.

Responsibilities include patient history, vital signs, specimen collection, medication administration, and coordination of care with physicians and nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Level I requires high school or GED.
• Level II requires MA program with CAAHEP/ABHES accreditation and high school/GED.
• Level III same as Level II with accreditation and completion.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephones and manage scheduling.
• Update and file patient records to ensure accuracy.
• Assist with examinations and treatments.
• Prepare patients for procedures and x-rays.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens.
• Administer medications as directed and document in records.
