Job summary

Piedmont is seeking a Medical Assistant to support Pulmonary Sleep services in a collaborative care setting. You will perform a range of patient care activities under supervision, including front and back office functions, to help deliver award-winning care across Georgia.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, CMA-AAMA or Nursing Assistant certification, or equivalent experience; BCLS is required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program required
• In lieu of formal education, two years of medical assistant or related clinical experience required

Qualifications:

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required and
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program Required or

Work Experience

• 1 year of experience in a medical office setting with completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program. Required or
• In lieu of degree /certification from a Medical/Nursing Assistant program, two (2) years of medical assistant or related clinical experience Required

Licenses and Certifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or a similarly recognized certifying organization Upon Hire Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
