Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant Float for its Medical Group Float Pool. The CMA works under a provider to deliver direct and indirect patient care, documents patient needs, and assists in planning and implementing care, including administering medications.

The role includes travel to other facilities as needed and requires MA certification with BLS; externship/clinical training and 1 year of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Medical Assisting certification from CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, or NRCMA.
• BLS Basic Life Support required at hire for certain locations.
• Completion of externship or clinical lab training preferred.
• 1 year of recent Medical Assisting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care under provider direction.
• Document patient information and vital signs.
• Administer medications as directed by a physician.
• Travel to other facilities as needed.
• Troubleshoot issues and escalate to provider.
