Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Anchorage, AK is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join the Electrophysiology & Heart Failure department. This nonexempt role will support the medical team by preparing rooms, taking patient histories and vital signs, and assisting with EKGs.

Required are graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program, CMA and CPR certifications. This position offers benefits and opportunities to grow within a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• CMA and CPR certifications are required.
• Experience assisting with EKGs and patient prep is preferred.

Responsibilities

SUMMARY OF DUTIES

A nonexempt position. Medical assistants function as members of the health care delivery team performing delegated clinical and administrative procedures within the supervising provider’s scope of practice consistent with the CMA’s education, training and experience. Such duties shall not constitute the practice of medicine.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Prepares exam and treatment rooms and ensures cleanliness
• Prepares patients for examination and treatment. Takes patient histories and vital signs.
• Assists with patient EKGs.
• Preparing patient charts for appointments
• Maintains patient confidentiality
• Other duties as assigned by supervision

PAY RANGE

$23-25/hr to start (dependent upon experience and education)
