Job description

This position will work 32 hrs per week.

Position: CMA / EMT / LPN

What you will do
  1. Room patients, perform and document vital signs and patient backgrounds.
  2. Coordinate provider schedules and appointments, enter orders, and prepare patient charts.
  3. Instruct patients and families as directed within scope of licensure or certification.
  4. Prepare patients and assist medical providers with in-office procedures and prepare and administer medications/immunizations.
  5. Maintain exam rooms and equipment to meet infection control standards. Ensure appropriate levels of medical supplies for each patient room.
Education Qualifications
  • Current clinical experience as a Medical Assistant, or graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing (Required).
Experience Qualifications
  • Current clinical experience as a Medical Assistant (Preferred).
  • Current clinical experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (Preferred).
  • Previous experience working as an Emergency Medical Technician or Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (Preferred).
Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of principles and skills needed for practical nurse or medical assistant to provide patient care.
  • Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and behaviors to foster work and patient relationships.
  • Ability to work under stressful or emergency situations with high concentration and energy level.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet changing demands.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in EMR systems, computer, phone, and office equipment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Licenses and Certifications
  • If holding other licenses that supersede CMA/RMA license, practice to the highest level of licensure with written approval from Quality Resources, kept on file with the supervisor. Maintain licensure to continue working at higher levels.
  • Certified as a Medical Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant, or Registered Medical Assistant in WI through an approved accreditor (Required upon hire).
  • Valid Practical Nursing license in WI (Required upon hire).
  • Licensed EMT or AEMT, maintain credential throughout employment (Required upon hire).
  • CPS/BLS Certification from an approved program or Prevea-sponsored program (Required upon hire).
