Job summary

Brookdale Salina is hiring a Certified Medication Assistant to provide medications and related care in a 40-apartment Assisted Living Community in Salina, KS. The role includes direct resident care, documentation, and medication administration in accordance with state guidelines.

Required CNA licensure and completion of state-certified medication aide coursework; prior experience with older adults is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA completion and licensure required.
• State certified medication aide course required.
• Experience in direct service with older adults preferred.
• Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's type helpful.
• Ability to communicate in English and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by the health care provider.
• Maintains residents' records daily and documents changes in condition.
• Provides direct resident care and assists with daily activities.
• Maintains medication supply room and completes audits per policy.
• Observes residents for side effects and reports changes to supervisor.
• Adheres to infection control policies and procedures.
