Job summary

Emerald Nursing and Rehab Lakeview in Grand Island, NE seeks a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our nursing team. The CMA administers prescribed medications, monitors residents, and maintains accurate documentation under the supervision of the DON.

This full-time role requires a CMA certification and CNA license per NE regulations, excellent communication, and the ability to work a rotating schedule including every other weekend and holidays. Safe, compassionate care is our priority.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CMA certification required by NE regulations and CNA license.
• Experience in healthcare preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Medication Administration: accurately administer prescribed medications and document administration.
• Resident Monitoring: observe and document changes in residents' conditions and report concerns.
• Health and Safety Compliance: maintain clean, organized medication area and follow infection control procedures.
• Resident Support: provide compassionate, respectful assistance to residents and their families.
• Communication: collaborate with nurses, doctors, and other professionals to coordinate care plans.
• Documentation: complete all required medication records and incident reports per policies.
